AFAS Experience Center

The AFAS Experience Center is an impressive multifunctional complex consisting of, among other things, the head office of business software developer AFAS, various auditoriums, a restaurant, a sports room, a 2-storey underground parking garage and a spherical theater.

AFAS Theater

The AFAS Theater is one of the most prestigious and state-of-the-art utility projects ever realized in the Netherlands. The spherical glass theater dome is a real eye-catcher! Inside the theater dome, visitors will find a beautiful atmospheric theater hall and a spacious lobby. A striking feature of the lobby is, next to the central located bar, the wall covered with tropical plants. This wall also ensures that a visit to the AFAS Theater is an unforgettable experience. The AFAS Theater can accommodate approximately 850 people and is used for small and large business events, such as seminars, conferences, product presentations and premieres.

Doors of Alara-Lukagro

For the AFAS Theater, Alara-Lukagro supplied 11 single-leaf AL-D / D56 and 18 double-leaf AL-D / D56 interior doors. A large part of the soundproof doors are fire-resistant in combination with EN-179 or EN-1125. Almost all doors are used to ensure that the sound remains in the auditorium as much as possible. In addition, the doors also ensure that no unwanted light from outside enters the room during an event. The doors are coated purple red (RAL3004) on the auditorium side and graphite black (RAL9011) on the not-auditorium side. In addition, the door fittings on the auditorium side are completely in line with the color of the door. Depending on the position, the doors are fitted with mechanical or electrical (solenoid) locks.

In collaboration with our partner TanĂ© Hermetic, we have also supplied 4 electrically operated horizontal sliding doors. At the customer’s request, 2 door frames EI-2-60 are fire-resistant with an Rw value of 52 dB (W x H) approx. 6,000 x 2,600 / 3,400 mm The rest of the sliding doors are supplied with an Rw value of 31 dB and dimensions of (W x H) 5,600 x 2,600 / 3,400 mm).

The total scope of the assignment consisted of: project management, engineering, production, preservation, assembly and making the doors ready for use. We received the order for this project in June 2018 and the assembly was ready in January 2021.

We would like to thank AFAS and Dura Vermeer Bouw Hengelo BV for this project and wish all visitors a lot of pleasure.
