Why we collect your data

One of the purposes of our website is to inform you of who we are and what we do. Alara-Lukagro collects and uses your personal data (including your name, address, e-mail address and telephone number) to be able to serve you to the best of its ability and to provide you with information. Among other reasons, we use your personal data to:

  • communicate with you, answer your questions or address your complaints.
  • process any orders you have submitted or requests you have made.
  • track general visitor data so as to be able to analyse the effectiveness of our online advertisements and further develop and improve our website, with a view to optimising your browsing experience.
  • later provide you with information on products, and for other marketing purposes, including sending you newsletters, surveys, etc.

Whenever you complete an online contact form or job application form, subscribe to our newsletter or send us an e-mail, the information with which you provide us will be stored for the amount of time it takes us to answer all your questions or address the contents of your e-mail.

We have a detailed data-processing register outlining which types of personal data are processed for each type of client, who is doing the data processing and how long the data will be stored. You can inspect this register upon request.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to track general visitor data and to analyse the effectiveness of our online (Adwords) advertisements. In other words, we use your data for statistical analyses of your browsing and clicking behaviour on our website. We also use it to optimise our website’s performance.

We have concluded a data-processing agreement with Google. We use Google Analytics’ privacy-friendly settings, meaning that IP addresses are transmitted in anonymised form.

Google uses this information to monitor how our website is used, to be able to provide us with reports on our website, and when we are advertising, to tell us how effective our advertising campaigns are.  Google may provide this data to third parties if it is required to do so by operation of law, or if these third parties process the data on Google’s behalf. This is beyond our control.

Hotjar

The Hotjar tool allows us to see what links our visitors click on our website, and to what extent our visitors scroll down on our pages. This information is fully anonymised, and is therefore not personally identifiable.

E-mail

We offer interested parties newsletters providing news regarding our products, services and Alara-Lukagro in general.  Your e-mail address will not be added to our subscriber list unless you explicitly consent to our doing so. Every newsletter contains a link you can use to unsubscribe. Your data will be stored until you unsubscribe. We do not share our newsletter subscriber list with any third parties.

Gravity Forms

Several pages on our website come with contact forms that allow you to contact us. We use the Gravity Forms tool to be able to provide you with these forms. The personal details with which you provide us are stored in our website system and are necessary for us to be able to contact you. If you fail to furnish your personal details, we will not be able to contact you or (if you are signing up for our newsletter) keep you updated on our services and activities.

Data-processing agreement

We have concluded data-processing agreements with all companies that process data on our behalf. Among other things, these agreements stipulate for what purposes personal data may be processed and what kinds of security measures must be implemented in places where personal data is stored. They also stipulate that persons or companies that process data must treat this data confidentially and are not allowed to independently process data for other purposes than those outlined in the data-processing agreement.
