Sound barrier walls for cooling and air-conditioning units

Alara-Lukagro has completed a special project for the hotel The Hoxton in Amsterdam. A number of cooling and air-conditioning units have been placed on top of an old elevator shaft. The sound barrier walls installed did not meet the noise requirements. After various noise and pressure loss calculations, Alara-Lukagro has designed a noise barrier that meets all the customer requirements. Both ventilation, noise reduction and access for maintenance to the units are included in this design.

Sound barrier walls

2 walls are equipped with sound-absorbing louvres (type AL-R / 300V) and one soundproof door (type AL-D / D45). The other 2 sides are equipped with aluminium sound-insulating and absorbent panels.

The 2 walls are attached to the existing steel construction. Through a few minor adjustments, the assembly could be installed smoothly.
