Synchron Stage Vienna was built in 1940 as an orchestral stage. Film music was recorded there in the mid 20th century. This was followed by classical music recordings in the 1960s and 1970s. At the beginning of the 21st century, the stage lost its original function and was mainly used as a rehearsal stage. In 2015, the building was given a new lease of life as Synchron Stage Vienna.

To accomplish this Team Löffler was approached by the end customer to take care of the complete acoustic features of the building. Team Löffler, in close consultation with the architect, entrusted Alara-Lukagro with the production and delivery of new soundproof hall doors for the Synchron Stage Vienna.

Design of the acoustic hall doors

The steel doors were designed with an extra high soundproof value of Rw 56 dB. The pop music spectrum (Ra pop 50 dB), also important for this building, also applies to the doors.

A number of doors were also designed to be 30 minutes fire resistant (EI2) in accordance with the European standard (EN 1634).

Alara-Lukagro was solely responsible for producing the doors and applying a wet paint coating. The entire design was produced in accordance with the end customer’s desired specifications and to their full satisfaction.
