Noise nuisance prevented
De Westfries skating rink noticed that the compressor room was emitting too much noise. Before the company received any complaints about noise nuisance from local residents, Optisport, which manages the skating rink along with AM, the property developer enlisted the help of Jansen Raadgevend Ingenieursbureau (JRI) to examine the noise issue.
New door and silencer
JRI advised Optisport to replace the engine room’s overhead door with a large soundproof door with high soundproof values and to install a splitter silencer behind the ventilation opening.
Alara-Lukagro was the ideal partner
Customisation was required due to the door’s dimensions, combined with the high soundproof values and the wish to integrate a wicket door with a window in one of the door leafs. Alara-Lukagro appeared to be the ideal partner due to its in-house engineering, production, wet spray paint cabins and installation teams.
AM commissioned Alara-Lukagro to produce and install the soundproof door and splitter silencer. Alara-Lukagro provided a customised, total solution to combat the noise nuisance at De Westfries skating rink. The entire project was implemented to the customer’s full satisfaction, as you can read from Frank Bongenaar’s reaction.
